The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delays. ICE MACHINE lost one length. TRIP TO HEAVEN lost two lengths. MAC DE LAGO and TRIP TO HEAVEN were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S Tarry advised. Jockey Randolph reported that BEZANOVA was not striding out freely in running. Jockey Marcus reported that he felt something amiss with ICE MACHINE in the latter stages. In view of the performance of TRIPTIQUE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. TRIP TO HEAVEN shifted in over the final 100 metres carrying MAC DE LAGO (AUS) inwards and brushing MAC DE LAGO (AUS) on two occasions. An Objection was lodged by Trainer Marwing on behalf of MAC DE LAGO (AUS), placed second, against the winner, TRIP TO HEAVEN, on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board was of the opinion that but for the interference, MAC DE LAGO (AUS) would have beaten TRIP TO HEAVEN. Therefore the objection was upheld and the Judge's result amended. Vet: BEZANOVA and ICE MACHINE - nothing obvious detected. TRIPTIQUE - coughing. Scratched: PATERFAMILIAS - lame right fore.
