There was a delay to the start of the 1st Race as a result of THE GREAT VICTORY rearing in the stalls, getting both front feet caught over the partition and having to be removed by the starting staff. This colt was then withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon. The balance of the field was unloaded. ELYSIAN FIELDS, GINGERBREAD MAN and KIMBERLEY lost 1 length. GINGERBREAD MAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. INDIAN TRACTOR raced green. ELYSIAN FIELDS was hanging in throughout. KIMBERLEY was hanging in, in the latter stages. In view of the Starter's report concerning THE GREAT VICTORY, the starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. ELYSIAN FIELDS raced in Club Colours. Scratched: THE GREAT VICTORY - reared in the stalls and was injured and thereafter was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
