BLUNDERBUSS was slow into stride and thereafter was squeezed out. KINGSTON BOY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the performance of ICE RUN, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. FLYFIRSTCLASS baulked for a clear run between the 350 and 250 metre marks. BECKEDORF over-raced in the early stages and was baulked for a clear run between the 400 and 350 metre marks. HARRISON was hanging in, in the latter stages. BLUNDERBUSS took no interest in running. LETDAGOODTIMESROLL over-raced in the early stages and thereafter compounded over the final 200 metres. MR MCSTEAMY raced with cheek pieces. Jockey Khumalo replaced Jockey Zackey on DUKE NUKEM. Vet: ICE RUN and BLUNDERBUSS - nothing obvious detected. LETDAGOODTIMESROLL - fatigued. DUKE NUKEM - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: SISTER COSMOS - swollen right hind.
