There was a delay to the start of the 6th Race due to the delay to the start of Race 5. ARCTICA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LOKSHINA was hanging out in the straight. Due to the performances of NINETEEN FOURTEEN and LOKSHINA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. LOKSHINA and HYAKU brushed at approximately the 200 metre mark. Apprentice Tarentaal, the rider of DUKES DRIFT, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. KEEP YOUR LIGHT ON returned post race having cast the right fore shoe. Jockey Veale replaced Jockey Forbes on JOSHUA'S ANSWER as Jockey Forbes was unable to draw the carded weight. Apprentice Hewitson, the rider of HYAKU, did not claim an apprentice allowance. Vet: NINETEEN FOURTEEN and LOKSHINA - nothing obvious detected. DUKES DRIFT - coughing.
