RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT lost one length. BAY OF THUNDER was awkwardly placed shortly after the start between SHIVER 'N SHAKE and LADY THISTLE, which was carried out by LA MANGA, which shifted out marginally. GOLD SHADES and DUKES DIME were awkwardly placed on the outside of S'WAY, which was carried out by LADY THISTLE, which shifted out marginally at approximately the 1000m. Apprentice Murray, the rider of LADY THISTLE, appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in future. SHIVER 'N SHAKE was bumped out in the concluding stages by S'WAY, which was carried out by BY JOVE, which shifted out from the 150m. The Stipendiary Board called a race review with regards to this incident. After reviewing the patrol films of the race, the Board decided to take no further action, however, Jockey Penny was charged with a contravention in that he, as the rider of BY JOVE, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to S'WAY and SHIVER 'N SHAKE in the concluding stages. Jockey Penny signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. LAKAHAL was hanging out from the 500m. Apprentice Ngcobo reported that RARING TO GO changed stride continually in running. BY JOVE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RIBBONOFMOONLIGHT raced with a Cornell collar. Vet: RARING TO GO - not striding out right front. DUKES DIME - coughing. Scratched: CAPTURED QUALITY - lame both front. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
