MIXED EMOTIONS restless in the stalls, jumped awkwardly inwards losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey Habib was charged with a contravention in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse ENTRE NOUS, which resulted in the filly being scratched from the Race. Jockey Habib signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined. In view of the performances from CHANUKAH and SPEEDBALL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. JUST FELICITY over-raced early and raced wide on the bend. GALLA PLACIDIA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CHANUKAH and SPEEDBALL - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: NAVASHA and LUCKY TUESDAY - no jockey available. ENTRE NOUS - no jockey available at the carded weight. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure.
