MARCELLE over-raced in the early stages. QUEEN OF THRONES switched inwards off the heels of STORYFIELDS entering the home straight. STORYFIELDS switched inwards off the heels of MARCELLE to continue his run passing the 200 metre mark. NANCY CAROL was hanging out over the final 200 metres. DOUBLE HAPPINESS compounded at the 200 metre mark and Jockey van der Merwe did not persevere with his ride. Jockey Khathi reported ROCK JO EMMA was changing stride continuously in the running. SADLER'S LASS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Laing was questioned regarding the improved performance of SADLER'S LASS compared to her previous race on the 22/06/2016. She explained that this filly had returned from a rest and had been difficult at the start in her previous race and did not kick on. Trainer Laing's attention was drawn to the rules pertaining to in and out running. Vet: STORYFIELDS, SADLER'S LASS and FOREST LAWN - coughed post race. ROCK JO EMMA and DOUBLE HAPPINESS - checked post race, nothing obvious detected. PRINCESS MIRANDA - speedy cut left hind.
