Jockey Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with SCUZAMI in the running and did not persevere with his ride in the closing stages. Jockey Ndlovu reported IMPRESSIONIST was coughing post race. WILD NIGHT OUT was hanging inwards from the 200 metre mark and CAPTAIN DISKO was steadied for three strides to the inside and behind WILD NIGHT OUT, then switched outwards to continue his run at the 75-metre mark. A race review was called into this incident. Stable Employee du Plessis lodged an Objection on behalf of the 4th placed, CAPTAIN DISKO, against the 2nd placed WILD NIGHT OUT, on the grounds of taking up his running in the closing stages. After reviewing the patrol films of the race and hearing evidence from the parties concerned, the Board overruled the Objection. The judges' result stands. The Objection fee was refunded. ROMAN CALAMITY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: IMPRESSIONIST - coughed post race. SCUZAMI - bilateral epistaxis, 60 days suspension.
