SAIL FOR GOLD was reluctant to load. FIRE MASTER reared in the stalls. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. RODNEY jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. FIFTY CENTS spread the left front shoe in the saddling enclosure, which the farrier repaired causing a slight delay to the gelding parading and proceeding to the start. RODNEY and WINTER TRADE brushed at about the 900m. FIRE MASTER and NORTHERN CORNER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: RODNEY - returned having cast the left hind shoe. FIFTY CENTS and FIRE MASTER - returned making an abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: CAPTAIN NEMO - coughing.
