SPANISH TUNE jumped inwards. BONO was slow into stride. ROYAL ENCLOSURE stumbled shortly after the start. PLUM BRITISH jumped in sharply dislodging Apprentice Hewitson. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. He was suspended for a period of seven days until recertified tractable. Shortly after the start, CAROL MASTER was awkwardly placed between JACKMAN and SPANISH TUNE, which jumped inwards. Jockey van Rensburg reported that CAROL MASTER took no interest in running. Apprentice Burke reported that ONE TRACK did not stride out freely in running. Apprentice Burke, the rider of ONE TRACK, rode an unsatisfactory qualifying ride. JACKMAN shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. NITRO CHARGE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The new ownership of MUNTU should read: Mr. S M Mokoena; and the Colours are: black, white chevron, collar, and sleeves, red cap, white star (sold with engagements). The new ownership SPANISH TUNE should read: Mr & Mrs. G W Funnell and Mr. G L & Mrs. L E Ellis; and the Colours are: green, white sleeves, green cuffs, white cap, green star (sold with engagements). STEAL A MARCH is a gelding, incorrectly carded. PLUM BRITISH raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: CAROL MASTER and FEARLESS FRED - speedy cut left front. ONE TRACK - not striding out right front. Scratched: STEAL A MARCH - bolted the course.
