MR PIGALLE (W Agrella), NILS OLAF (S Naidoo) and ANCIENT TIMES (K Steyn) were stubborn loading. EVIES FIRST (T Gould) and MOONSAIL (M Bylevend) were slow into stride. ROYAL SHINDIG (L Bester) was nervous and reared in stalls. FLY MY FLAG (L Mxothwa) was nervous in stalls. ANDREA (S Khathi) and EVIES FIRST (T Gould) over-raced in the early stages. ANCIENT TIMES (K Steyn) hung in in the straight. Approaching the 1100m, ROYAL SHINDIG (L Bester) had to steady momentarily off the heels of ANDREA (S Khathi) which shifted in when just not clear. Jockey Khathi the rider of ANDREA was advised to allow sufficient clearance to other runners before shifting ground in races. At the 800m, MOONSAIL (M Byleveld) was switched out to continue its run and lost momentum as a result of this. FLY MY FLAG (L Mxothwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM). ST PATRICK'S FLAME was ridden by Apprentice Y Ramzan who claimed a 4kg allowance (declared 20 August 2020 at 20H37). SOHO SPIRIT raced with club colours (blue and black) Stewards permission. MR PIGALLE is a gelding (gelded 3 June 2020) to be investigated. ANDREA Jockey S Khathi weighed out at 60,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
