FIRE MASTER reared in the stalls. Trainer Snaith will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled before its next engagement. POWER GRID jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with SAINT DONAN, which was restless in the stalls, and slow losing one length and thereafter both were slow into stride. Jockey van Niekerk reported that POWER GRID did not stride out freely in running. In view of the performance from CAPTAIN NEMO, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. ALBARAKAH was hanging out late. CUBAN EMERALD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPTAIN NEMO and POWER GRID - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: SEVEN WOOD - elevated temperature.
