DRESS FOR SUCCESS lost 1 length. COUNTESS CORTEZ was slow into stride. DRESS FOR SUCCESS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Lafferty was questioned regarding the improved performance of DRESS FOR SUCCESS compared to this filly's previous run on the 3.8.2016. The only explanation that Mr Lafferty could offer was that this filly may not be suited to the polytrack. Mr Lafferty's attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to "in and out" running and the future performances of DRESS FOR SUCCESS will be monitored by the Stipendiary Board. ICED UP became cramped for galloping room shortly after the start and as a result lost position. Apprentice Tarentaal, the rider of COUNTESS CORTEZ, reported the saddle slipped forward at approximately the 1200 metre mark and as a result raced wide on the bend and into the straight. COUNTESS CORTEZ returned post race having spread the right hind shoe. Vet: CAUSEWAY BAY - fatigued.
