BIG SI was slow into stride. MAACHAAN (AUS) lost one length. UMBUSI lost two lengths. BIG SI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PYRENEES IN SPAIN was switched out for a clear run at approximately the 250-metre mark. Simultaneously ARAMOUSE was hanging out, shifted out resulting in PYRENEES IN SPAIN becoming cramped and being carried outwards and ROY'S SAILOR becoming severely cramped for galloping room and having to be eased. In view of the performance of CHILL, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. APPLE JACK was not persevered with in the latter stages. An Inquiry will be held into Jockey Yeni's ride on BIG SI immediately after the finish. Vet: CHILL - not striding out right fore. APPLE JACK - nothing obvious detected. HEPTAGON and BELUGA BERRY - coughing. MAACHAAN (AUS) - cut into left fore.
