ENCHANTED DRAWING flyjumped leaving the stalls losing one length. OPEN ANSWER and SABRE CHARGE were slow into stride. DALE HOUSE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. THE MOUSETRAP was hanging in, in the early stages and was difficult to assist. Jockey Storey reported that THE MOUSETRAP was changing legs continuously in running and making an abnormal respiratory noise. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with SARABINO in running. Jockey Veale reported that he felt something amiss with OPEN ANSWER and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. DALE HOUSE was hanging out over the final 500 metres. SUN DYNASTY was hanging out over the final 400 metres. BOLD REIGN raced green. SUN DYNASTY raced with a tongue tie. Vet: OPEN ANSWER and THE MOUSETRAP - nothing obvious detected. SARABINO and NAMOOS - coughing. Scratched: SWEET REFRAIN - insufficient recovery time. RACE 5: Shortly before the start was effected the bridle on DUNDRUM slipped over this mare's ears, which resulted in Jockey de Melo removing his feet from the irons in order for the handler to re-fit the bridle. This resulted in Jockey de Melo not being seated when the start was effected and DUNDRUM leaving the starting stalls rider-less. The Starter called a no start. The balance of the field continued to Race to the finish. The Stipendiary Board had no option but to declare this Race a "no RACE" and abandoned it. The Stipendiary Board will investigate the reasons for the riders failing to respond to the false start.
