ALONE AT LAST, CHARMING CHARLIE and MAIN PLAYER lost one length. MAMBO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROY'S SAXOPHONE was pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to assist and as a result raced wide on the back straight and into the bend. CHARMING CHARLIE and MAIN PLAYER raced green. STREET BOY and FATHEAD BROWNIE were pulling hard in the early stages, difficult to restrain. In view of the performance of STORMY CITY (ARG), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Forbes reported that he felt something amiss with SECRET SERVICE in running and as a result did not persevere with his ride in the latter stages. ROY'S SAXOPHONE raced without cheek pieces. Vet: STORMY CITY (ARG) and SECRET SERVICE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: WHITE ICE - not eating up. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
