QUEEN'S BRIDGE reared in the starting stalls, was checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. ANGEL LANDING broke through the starting stalls and was restrained, returned to the start, checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and re-loaded. CHICAGO BEAT, ARCANE LIGHT, PRINCE PONTI (AUS), ROCK OF PEACE and MADAME BUTTERFLY were slow into stride. MARSHALL THAT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Ngwane has now ridden his 40th winner and will claim a 1.5kg allowance from the conclusion of today's race meeting and until the conclusion of the meeting at which he has ridden his 60th winner. Jockey Delpech, the rider of CHICAGO BEAT, reported his saddle slipped sideways as the start was effected. NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND switched in at approximately the 800 metre mark, resulting in LE CHEIK having to ease for a number of strides and CHICAGO BEAT and MADAME BUTTERFLY having to switch out to avoid this incident. Apprentice Hewitson signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention in that, as the rider of NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse LE CHEIK at approximately the 800-metre mark. He was suspended for a period of 7 days. PRINCE PONTI (AUS) and MADAME BUTTERFLY raced green. ECCELLERATE raced green on the bend. In view of the Starter's report concerning QUEEN'S BRIDGE, the starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion. Vet: KINGS ELEVEN - coughing. PRINCE PONTI (AUS) - scalped left hind. Scratched: PORTMAN SQUARE - not eating up. QUEEN'S BRIDGE - injured in pens; reared back causing head injury and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
