THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREASURED PEARL (A Arries) was stubborn to load. b) CHANTY LANE (G Wright) was restless in the stalls, lost one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, RACQUELS KOHL (R Danielson) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of DEEP THOUGHT (A Marcus) which rolled in. b) At the 1100m, IDEMO (W Kennedy) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of PURPLE MOON'S UP (L Hewitson) which rolled in. c) CAPRIANA (S Moodley) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) DEEP THOUGHT (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
