SHERRY and RUBY DUCHESS were nervous in the stalls. PIRANGI was slow into stride. SILVER RAIN pulled in the early stages. Jockey Zackey reported that RUBY DUCHESS took no interest in the running. SEVENTH SISTER was hanging inwards in the home straight. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with LEXICON in the running. CUP BEARER brushed WONDER WORKER on two occasions passing the 200-metre mark, which resulted in WONDER WORKER becoming unbalanced for two strides. PIRANGI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Greeff was questioned regarding the improved performance of this filly in comparison to its previous race. Trainer Greeff explained that this was this filly's first run on the poly track surface amid a weaker field which may account for her improved performance. PIRANGI's previous run on the 05/08/2016 will be reviewed. Vet: LEXICON - abnormal respiratory noise, short in front. RUBY DUCHESS - short right fore.
