THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RETRIAL (A Mgudlwa) and ZAMA ZAMA (G Lerena) lost one length, respectively. b) TO THE MAX (K de Melo) lost three lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MOTHER DUCK (R Danielson) and CAPRICCIO (S Veale) over-raced in the early stages. b) JETRIX (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early and middle stages. In view of the performance of this filly (17.50 lengths, 57/20 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of PINCH ME (M Yeni) (10.40 lengths) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Approaching the 1400m, RETRIAL (A Mgudlwa) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of MOTHER DUCK (R Danielson) which was carried in by WHISKEYDORO (*M Zuma) which over-raced in the early and middle stages and rolled in. e) At the 800m, RETRIAL (A Mgudlwa) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of WHISKEYDORO (M Zuma) which shifted in. Apprentice M Zuma signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of WHISKEYDORO, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to RETRIAL (A Mgudlwa) at the 800m. Accordingly, a suspension 7 days was imposed. (Suspension Dates : 30.08.20 to the 05.09.20) f) AQUAE SULIS (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M Miller advised (ML). Trainer M Miller will be questioned with regard to the improved performance of AQUAE SULIS (A Arries), compared to this filly's previous performances. JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) JETRIX raced equipped with blinkers (advised 22.08.20/13h43). b) PANNA COTTA raced without ear muffs (advised 22.08.20/10h09). c) STRAWBERRYPOPTART was ridden by Apprentice T Gumede (claiming 2.5kg) and this mare raced with a tongue tie (advised 23.08.20/07h43). d) MOTHER DUCK was ridden by Jockey R Danielson and weighed out at 56.9kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
