Apprentice Ngwane now only claims a 1.5kg allowance and not a 2,5kg allowance as carded. KUTLWANOSLOVE and WAHI both lost 1 length. SEE THE SEA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Drier was questioned regarding the improved performance of SEE THE SEA was compared to this filly's previous run on the 23.7.2016. Mr Drier's only explanation was that this filly was slow away and had raced green on her debut run on the 23.7.2016. This filly's previous run is to be reviewed by the Stipendiary Board. KUTLWANOSLOVE and WAHI raced green. ARABIAN PARTY became momentarily cramped on the inside of SUMMER IN THE CITY approaching the 800-metre mark. Jockey Habib, the rider of SPANISH CASTLE, reported that his saddle slipped sideways in running. SPANISH CASTLE was hanging in throughout difficult to assist, shifted in slightly near the 800-metre mark, resulting in ICHKERIA becoming cramped and having to be steadied, and POWER HORSE becoming cramped. SUMMER IN THE CITY was hanging in over the final 300 metres. Jockey Habib, the rider of SPANISH CASTLE, appeared before the Board and was spoken to with regard to his crop use in the latter stages. ARABIAN PARTY returned post race having cast both fore shoes. Vet: SPANISH CASTLE - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: OBLADI OBLADA - elevated temperature.
