TRIP TO PARADISE broke through the front gate, was restrained by the Handler, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded, which resulted in a delay to the start of this race. Trainer de Beer was advised to re-school TRIP TO PARADISE prior to its next engagement. CAMPS DRIFT kicked the back gates in the stalls. Trainer Erasmus was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. MR BALBOA reared in the stalls. Assistant Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement. An Inquiry will be opened to establish why FORMAL REQUEST had to ease in the concluding stages. STREETWEAR was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LOCK HIM UP - mild post race distress. TRIP TO PARADISE - abrasions left hind hock. LUNDY'S STAR - coughing. Not striding out right front. Indefinite suspension for a full veterinary report. Scratched: ROARING TIGER - insufficient recovery time. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed. Several Jockeys were selected for breathalyser tests and the taking of urine samples for analysis.
