THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ASSISTED TAKE OFF (*M Zuma) stood losing many lengths. b) HARLINGTON EXPRESS (*K Strydom) and DEPOSITION (S Moodley) lost two lengths, respectively. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Apprentice J Jacobs (PUTCHINI) dropped his crop at the 100m. b) Shortly before the finish, AURORA AUSTRALIS (J Samuel) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of JUNIPER LANE (D Dillon). c) At the 1200m, SWAGGER JAGGER (*T Gumede) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of LESLIE SHADOWLINER (A Marcus) which shifted in. The Board has adjourned to review this incident. d) Apprentice K Strydom reported that HARLINGTON EXPRESS (16.10 lengths) made an abnormal respiratory noise post race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ASSISTED TAKE OFF (*M Zuma), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion on a race day. Suspension dates: 24.08.20 to the 30.08.20. ASSISTED TAKE OFF may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer V Rugg was advised.
