BLACK CAT BACK cast the right fore shoe on the way to the start which the farrier replaced. MASAAR and SILVER EXPRESS, which were restless in the stalls, were slow losing one length and thereafter slow into stride. MOON BIRD was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. KENNY TRIX and ICON KING brushed at the 150m. Jockey Domeyer reported that BOY SCOUT took no interest in running. Jockey du Plooy, the rider of MOON BIRD, and Jockey van Niekerk, the rider of SILVER MASTER, appeared before the Board and were reminded of their obligation to ride their mounts out to the end of a race.
