COME ON SONNY, MERCURY FIRE and BOLD MAN were slow losing one length. In view of the performance from COME ON SONNY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. TEMPERANCE, which pulled hard in the early stages, shifted both ways away from the crop in the straight. At about the 800m BOLD MAN became tightened for galloping room and was forced to ease when racing on the inside of FLYING GITANO, which raced green and rolled in. THE GREAT ONE (NZ) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: COME ON SONNY - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: CASINO KING - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. The following Jockeys and Apprentice were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
