EYE THE COUNTESS flyjumped leaving the stalls. BIRD ALLEY and ROSE OF CASTILLE lost one length. Jockey van der Merwe, the rider of BIRD ALLEY, and Jockey Danielson, the rider of BELINSKY, reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. SAVANNAH JADE was hanging in from the 400m. ZOO ALLEY was hanging in from the 200m. SEAL MY FATE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: BIRD ALLEY - examined post race and nothing obvious detected. BELINSKY - not striding out both front. PEG O' MY HEART - coughing. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
