The start of this race was delayed at the request of the Phumelela representative. ROCK OF VICTORY cast its left fore shoe en route to the start which was replaced by the Course Farrier. LIGHTNING BOLT was nervous in the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length. RASBERRY LIPS was slow away and lost 1 length. AUTO PILOT and ANGELUS BELL brushed leaving the stalls. SEATTLE PRINCE was hanging inwards badly in the home straight and Jockey Munger did not persevere with his ride over the final 250 metres. AUTO PILOT steadied off the heels of LIGHTNING BOLT at the 350 metre mark. LIGHTNING BOLT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Agrella replaced Jockey Fourie on AUTO PILOT. An Inquiry will be opened into this jockey change. Vet: RIPPIT WHIPPET - short left fore and behind. SEATTLE PRINCE - Bilateral Epistaxis, 60 days suspension. Scratched: RIPPIT WHIPPET - not striding out left fore and behind. The Course Farrier on duty reported that the shoes of all the runners engaged at today's race meeting were checked and conformed to the rules. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
