The start of this Race was delayed due to a technical problem with the positioning of the starting stalls. MISS NIGHTINGALE jumped with her head up losing one length. CHILL BABY CHILL (AUS) lost one length. POP STAR was slow into stride. SUPER GUPPY lost one length. VAMPIRELLA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Godden reported that he felt something amiss with ELEPHANT MATRIARCH in running. ICY SPIRIT and MISS NIGHTINGALE were hanging in over the final 300 metres. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MYGIRLDOWNUNDER (AUS), this filly was suspended from racing for a period of 60 days. Vet: MYGIRLDOWNUNDER (AUS) - Epistaxis, 60 days suspension. ELEPHANT MATRIARCH - not striding out right fore. Scratched: NALA - coughing. SIMLA - injured right fore fetlock. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
