In view of the performance of GOLDEN MIRABILIS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. DRIFTING DUSK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. When questioned regarding this mare's poor performance on the 17th of September 2016, Trainer Houdalakis explained to the Board that this filly had over-raced and compounded badly. The weaker class of today's race had also accounted for the improvement. His explanation was noted. Vet: GOLDEN MIRABILIS - coughing. Scratched: GOODYTWOSHOES - abscess left front. WINTER BREEZE and PIPPI SHORTSOCK - Stewards' permission (weight conditions of the race changed after declarations).
