THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING SALADIN (R Khathi) and MY INTUITION (IRE) (M Byleveld) jumped slow, losing one length. b) HANDYMAN CAN (O Noach) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MY INTUITION (IRE) (M Byleveld) raced green. b) In view of the performance of FLY OVER (*J Solomons) (Betting 29/4 : Distance 12.85) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey O Noach was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck HANDYMAN CAN more than 12 times in the entire race. Jockey Noach signed an admission of guilt and was fined R 750,00 (first offence) d) Jockey B Fayd'Herbe was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on MASTER OF POWER (Race 1), NOMORE MR NICEGUY (Race 2) and SOVEREIGN ROSE (Race 4). Jockey Fayd'Herbe signed an admission of guilt and was fined R 1000,00. e) Apprentice J Solomons was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.40 in that he failed to comply with a reasonable order from an official in that he did not present himself to the course doctor for Covid-19 screening prior to the running of Race 1. Apprentice J Solomons signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R 500,00. f) Jockeys M Byleveld and A Domeyer were charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.40 in that they failed to timeously comply with a reasonable order from an official in that they did not present themselves to the course doctor for Covid-19 screening prior to the running of Race 1. Jockeys Byleveld and Domeyer signed Admissions of Guilt and were given the penalty of a warning. g) MASTER OF POWER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
