AVAST, MISTRESS ELLY, SPANISH LADY and FASHION QUEST were slow into stride. HONEYSUCKLE ROSE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The saddle on ELECTRO DIVA slipped forward badly at approximately the 1100 metre mark and as a result, Apprentice Schwarz removed both feet from the stirrup irons at approximately the 700-metre mark. Apprentice Habib reported that MISTRESS ELLY was not striding out freely in running. ROY'S JEWEL was not persevered with in the latter stages. In view of the performance of FLYER AND FLAME, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Samuel, the rider of ARGONOVA, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 300-metre mark. FASHION QUEST raced green. ARGONOVA raced with aluminium bar shoes in front and steel shoes behind. The Ownership of WILD IMAGE should read: Mesdames H J Dittmer & C R A Kingham & Mr MG Salter; and the Colours are: white, kingfisher crossed sashes, checked sleeves and cap. Vet: MISTRESS ELLY - not striding out left fore. FLYER AND FLAME and ROY'S JEWEL - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROY'S PEARL - elevated temperature. ROY IS SECOND - virus.
