The start of this Race was slightly delayed due to IT DOESN'T MATTER being stubborn to load. IT DOESN'T MATTER was difficult to load. FORCEFUL RUSH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Puller was questioned with regard to the improved performance of FORCEFUL RUSH compared to this gelding's previous performance. Mr Puller explained that this gelding raced wide in stronger company in his previous race which, in his opinion, had accounted for the poor performance. The Board adjourned to review the previous performance of FORCEFUL RUSH. CAPRIVI raced wide in the early stages. The saddle on WHAT A SCORCHER slipped sideways and as a result he was unable to fully assist his mount in the race. FORCEFUL RUSH was hanging out over the final 300 metres, shifted out approaching the 150 metre mark, resulting in EMPEROR NIARCHOS having to be steadied momentarily and switched in to obtain a clear run. Jockey Kennedy reported that GOLDEN FORT took no interest in the straight. DESERT SUNSET was inconvenienced on the outside of FORCEFUL RUSH in the latter stages. In view of the Starter's report concerning IT DOESN'T MATTER, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until re-passed tractable with a companion. FULLY CHARGED raced with alumites and not steel shoes as carded. Vet: GOLDEN FORT - nothing obvious detected. Trainer Campbell was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board should he find anything amiss with this gelding on return to stables.
