ANGEL OF ATHENS jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. ARIES was slow into stride. In view of the performance from RED BERRY CANDLE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey du Plooy reported that REBEL'S BURST did not stride out freely in running. ANGEL OF ATHENS and ARIES raced green. ON THAT NOTE was hanging out in the latter stages. RED GINGER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ANGEL OF ATHENS raced fitted with steel shoes. Vet: RED BERRY CANDLE and REBEL'S BURST - inspected post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected. Scratched: RED SKY AT NIGHT - colic. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed, as per normal procedure. Several Jockeys and Apprentice were selected for the taking of breathalyser tests and urine samples for analysis.
