Jockey Strydom reported that EVENING BREEZE did not stride out freely in running. In the concluding stages, POOL PARTY was carried in by FAVOUR'S PRIDE, which checked inwards to avoid the heels of LAST CHIRP, which shifted in away from the crop. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into this incident, and after viewing the patrol films was of the opinion that the result would not have been influenced from this incident and no further action was taken in this regard. Apprentice Schwarz was charged with a contravention in that he, as the rider of LAST CHIRP, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FAVOUR'S PRIDE and POOL PARTY when he shifted in, in the concluding stages. Apprentice Schwarz appeared before the board and signed an Admission of Guilt and was suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. CRYSTAL GLAMOUR shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. Jockey Khumalo appeared before the Board and was spoken to regarding his use of the crop in the concluding stages. CRYSTAL GLAMOUR and LAST CHIRP were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ELECTRIC LADY raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: EVENING BREEZE - post race distress. Scratched: WATER LILY LAKE - under veterinary treatment. EASY STREET - not striding out.
