MALINGA, ROWNAK and SAMBORA were slow losing one length. BOLD COAST was restless in the stalls and jumped awkwardly. HAWAIIAN SUN was bumped inwards shortly after the start by NAWRA, which jumped in. NAWRA cast its right front shoe in running. At approximately the 1400m EQUATOR was carried out by BOLD COAST, which shifted out sharply when he commenced to over-race. Thereafter Jockey Zackey reported that BOLD COAST took no interest in running. CHAMPIONS CUP was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: COYOTE and ROWNAK - abnormal respiratory noise. BOLD COAST - not striding out right front. Scratched: KEEP ON FLYING - off feed. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at today's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at today's race meeting were checked and their identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
