THE GREAT DUCHESS was stubborn loading. Thereafter reared as it was about to be loaded, which resulted in the bridle on this gelding coming loose. Attempts were made by the starting staff on numerous occasions to replace this equipment, however, VARS PRIDE continued to be difficult and the equipment could not be replaced, which resulted in VARS PRIDE being withdrawn for delaying the start. The starting stalls certificate for THE GREAT DUCHESS has been withdrawn and it was suspended for a period of 7 days and until recertified tractable. VARS PRIDE was stubborn loading. In view of the performance from RACETHEGREENLIGHT, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Approaching the 600m OMEGA THREE became unbalanced after making contact with the inside running rail when hanging in. TIMEOFTHEVIKINGS was hanging out from the 300m. Approaching the 300m CEDRUS LIBANI switched out off the heels of UNREHEARSED (AUS) to continue its run. CEDRUS LIBANI was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
