The start of the 2nd Race was delayed due to the delay to the start of the 1st Race and the 30-minute gap between Races 1 and 2. HOUR GLASS was restless and reared in the stalls and as the start was effected, then flyjumped dislodging Jockey Samuel. GENIUS BAR lost 5 lengths. CRYSTAL BALL, SPIRITOFADVENTURE and WE'RE WATCHING YOU lost 1 length. HALLOWED SPRING was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SPIRITOFADVENTURE and WE'RE WATCHING YOU raced green. AMADORA was hanging in throughout. The loose horse, HOUR GLASS, shifted in approaching the 500-metre mark hampering FONTEYN and resulting in FONTEYN making contact with HALLOWED SPRING. As a result HIMALAYAN EMPRESS was steadied. Thereafter near the 300 metre mark the loose horse shifted outwards carrying WE'RE WATCHING YOU, POWER HORSE, STARWIN and AMADORA outwards. Jockey Marcus reported that BEAU VAR did not act in the prevailing soft underfoot track conditions. Apprentice Godden reported that JUST SNAPPY not striding out freely in the latter stages. In view of the Starter's report concerning HOUR GLASS, the starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn until recertified tractable with a companion on race day. BEAU VAR raced with her tongue tied down. HOUR GLASS raced fitted with pacifiers. The change of colours of the Owners of GENIUS BAR to read: Green, red chevron, green sleeves, red seams, red cap. Ownership as carded. Vet: JUST SNAPPY - cut into the right hind. Scratched: FIRES OF CALAIS - upper respiratory tract infection.
