EXUMA was slow losing three lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. Jockey du Plooy reported that ZINTHLE did not stride out freely in running. Approaching the 150m MOON PRINCESS, which was hanging out, shifted out sharply and carried ROCK ON WOOD outwards. Thereafter MOON PRINCESS continued to shift outwards and brushed ROCK ON WOOD shortly before the finish. A Member of the Stipendiary Board called for a race review and lodged an Objection on the grounds of interference in the latter stages. The Board, after reviewing the patrol films and considering the evidence heard, was of the opinion that but for the interference ROCK ON WOOD would have finished ahead of MOON PRINCESS and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judges' result. The Board adjourned to consider the reported interference and review the patrol films further. MOON PRINCESS, placed 2nd after the Objection was upheld, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ZINTHLE - returned not striding out. OCEAN BLUE - returned lame on both fore.
