The start of the 4th Race was delayed due to the withdrawal of MUSIC WORLD at the start. REIGNING WAVE CRACKPOT and MAMASITA lost 1 length. LALA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SEATTLE BELLE over-raced in the early stages and as a result was allowed to race to the front approaching the 1200 metre mark. PLAYBOY BUDDY was hanging in throughout. FASHION TALK became cramped and was eased momentarily near the 1300 metre mark. SEATTLE BELLE was hanging out and shifted out near the 300-metre mark. Apprentice Arries, the rider of FASHION TALK, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. Trainer Impey was questioned with regard to the puncture wound on the left side of the neck of MUSIC WORLD. She explained to the Board that this filly had been given a bleeder preparation at the yard in the morning. This is the only explanation she could offer the Board. MUSIC WORLD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The holding boxes in the security area where her horses were kept as well as her staff were searched. Nothing untoward was found. This matter has been adjourned. Scratched: MUSIC WORLD - examined at the start. Bleeding from puncture wound left side jugular area and was withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon.
