FASHION DANCER, OLYMPIC POWER, and KINGS APPROVAL were slow into stride. DUKES DRIFT was slow into stride and thereafter squeezed out. OLYMPIC POWER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Kennedy reported that WESTCHESTER took no interest in running. Apprentice de Gouveia reported CLASSE MONDIALE was not striding out freely in in the latter stages. TANJIRO was hanging out in the final straight. In view of the performance of QATAR SPRINGS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. KINGS APPROVAL raced wide into the final straight. DUKES DRIFT raced fitted with steels both fore and unshod behind. DUKES DRIFT raced fitted with cheek-pieces. Vet: QATAR SPRINGS and CLASSE MONDIALE - nothing obvious detected. WESTCHESTER - not striding out left hind.
