Before the start of the Racemeeting, a panel was formed of two Jockeys, two Trainers, two Stipendiary Stewards, and the Course and Grounds manager. The reason for this panel was due to concerns of the racecourse between the 2200 metre mark and the 2000 metre mark. It was established that due to unsafe underground footing this race was moved to a 2000 metre race. This was done for the betterment of racing and for the racemeeting. FLASHER ON THE RUN was slow away and lost half a length. FLASHER ON THE RUN and JAMESON RUN raced green. KING'S WAGER was changing legs in the final 100 metres. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was asked to examine this horse. JAMESON RUN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Zackey replaced Jockey Maujean on NEMBA BEACH owing to a flight delay DIVA'S ROCKSTAR raced in steels. Vet: KING'S WAGER - checked post race, and nothing untoward was found. Scratched: REBELLIOUS QUEEN - lame left hind.
