Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this Race. ROCKY ROMANCE lost two lengths. MIESQUE'S MAGIC and DAMALI lost one length. NATIONAL AGENDA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Anthony was questioned with regard to the improved performance of NATIONAL AGENDA compared to this filly's previous performances. Mr Anthony explained that he was disappointed with this filly as she made abnormal respiratory noises in her previous two runs and this in his opinion this had accounted for the poor performances. Mr Anthony's explanation was noted. Apprentice Juglall, the rider of HIMALAYAN EMPRESS, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. NATIONAL AGENDA and HIMALAYAN EMPRESS were hanging in badly in the straight. In view of the performance of ROCKY ROMANCE, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Marcus signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he misused his crop by striking JE SUIS SILVER more than three times on consecutive strides shortly before the finish. Vet: ROCKY ROMANCE - not striding out right fore. Scratched: JOLLERIE - coughing. DREAM BABE - heat right knee. TROPICAL WONDER - not eating up.
