During the loading process, DIABLO CANYON and BLUE BLAZER were restless in the stalls and reared in the stalls. BLUE BLAZER was extracted from the starting stalls, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and was reloaded. DIABLO CANYON slipped its bridle and ran loose behind the starting stalls before being taken in hand, the bridle refitted, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. Thereafter a false start was called by the Starter which caused a delay to the running of Race 7. The Starting Stall Certificate for BLUE BLAZER has been withdrawn. He was suspended for a period of seven days in terms until recertified tractable. Shortly before the start was effected, INTANDOKAZI (AUS) was restless and reared in the stalls and was slow losing one length. Thereafter the gates were released and INTANDOKAZI (AUS) was found to be on its hind legs and still restrained by the Handler allocated to him and as a result of this, the Starter signalled a false start. All the runners were restrained by their riders, returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded, with the exception of DIABLO CANYON and DRAGON'S BREATH, which were withdrawn for bolting. The Starting Stall Certificate for INTANDOKAZI (AUS) has been withdrawn. He was suspended for a period of seven days until recertified tractable. Jockey Penny, the rider of WARBASH, accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. Jockey van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with JUST AS FRISKY in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Jockey Zechner reported that KING GERARD changed stride continually in running. Apprentice Murray reported that he felt something amiss with BLUE BLAZER in running. WOZA MADODA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: QUEEN'S JET - abnormal respiratory noise. JUST AS FRISKY - not striding out right front. KING GERARD - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. BLUE BLAZER - not striding out right front. EXPLORACY cut into left hind. Scratched: HIDEAWAY - skin disease. MOVE LIKE JAGGER - insufficient recovery time. MISRISTOCRAT - change of stables. DIABLO CANYON and DRAGON'S BREATH - bolted the course.
