The start of this Race was delayed due to EARHART proving difficult proceeding to the start. EARHART, BABY IN BLACK and KAILUA BEACH were slow into stride. ROY IS SECOND and KAILUA BEACH were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Dittmer appeared before the Board and was advised that should EARHART prove difficult proceeding to the start in future, this filly may be suspended. EVENING ELEGANCE over-raced in the early and middle stages. KAILUA BEACH raced green. The saddle on KAILUA BEACH slipped back in running. TICKY TIN was hanging in over the final 500 metres. Near the 250 metre mark, EARHART shifted out slightly carrying ICHKERIA outwards resulting in TICKY TIN becoming cramped and having to be eased. Apprentice Godden reported BABY IN BLACK was not striding out freely in running. The ownership of ICHKERIA should read: Mr B P Govender; and the Colours remain the same. Vet: BABY IN BLACK - not striding out right fore.
