EXCLUSIVELY TRENDY lost 2 lengths. LUCKY BARB was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. A race review was called into the start of this race. The Board determined that EXCLUSIVELY TRENDY's stall gates were slow to open resulting in this gelding being impeded and losing 2 lengths. EXCLUSIVELY TRENDY was declared a non-runner. WAVEBREAKER over-raced in the early stages. RACE ME HOME broke down at approximately the 300-metre mark and as a result was eased out of the race. At approximately the 250 metre mark RISKY ROSCO was switched in to avoid RACE ME HOME, who had broken down. ROY'S POWER was cramped along the outside rail for a number of strides at approximately the 200-metre mark. Apprentice Juglall, the rider of COLMANT, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. EXCLUSIVELY TRENDY raced with his tongue tied down. Vet: RACE ME HOME - broke down right fore (comminuted proximal sesamoid fractures). Euthanased on humane grounds. Scratched: HUGO MONTENEGRO - lame left fore. The course farrier on duty did not report there to be anything amiss with the shoes fitted to the horses that raced at tonight's race meeting. The passports of all the runners that raced at tonight's race meeting were checked, identities, AHS and Equine Influenza vaccinations confirmed.
