The start of this Race was delayed due to the previous Race delay and AUCTION KING being difficult to load. DIAMOND KING (NZ) lost four lengths. Assistant Trainer Fripp, acting for Trainer Rivalland, was advised to re-school this gelding. ASHTON PARK and WAY OF LIGHT were slow into stride. AUCTION KING was difficult to load, stood and refused to jump. BUDAPEST and MR ROY were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Starter's report concerning AUCTION KING, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn until recertified tractable to load on terms with a companion. ASHTON PARK was pulling hard in the early stages. WINTER IS COMING over-raced in the early and middle stages. In view of the performances of WAY OF LIGHT and DIAMOND KING (NZ), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Jockey Randolph reported CANIGAO took no interest in running. Jockey Delpech reported WINTER IS COMING choked up in the pull-up. The Medical Officer reported that Jockey van der Rensburg was examined after the running of this Race suffering with dehydration. Vet: WAY OF LIGHT, CANIGAO and DIAMOND KING (NZ) - nothing obvious detected. WINTER IS COMING - abnormal respiratory noise. Scratched: KINGSTON BOY - abscess left hind.
