The start of this Race was delayed due to a delay in the security staff closing gate 16. MUSUCHELALOMISSUS stood losing five lengths. Trainer Rich was advised to re-school this gelding prior to his next engagement. DUNHAM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer Fayd'Herbe was questioned with regard to the improved performance of DUNHAM. The only explanation that Mr Fayd'Herbe could offer was that the longer distance of today's race, in his opinion, had attributed to the improvement shown. The Board will monitor the future performances of DUNHAM and Mr Fayd'Herbe attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running. In view of the performances of NEWTONS SPARK, FASHION DANCER and TAEGAN'S JET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Apprentice Tarentaal signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for a contravention in that he made a celebratory gesture shortly before the finish whilst riding DUNHAM. Apprentice Tarentaal was only able to claim 2kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance. 1kg of the non-claiming was declared prior to the race day with the Stipendiary Board's permission (no other rider available at the carded weight). Vet: NEWTONS SPARK - not striding out right hind and coughing. FASHION DANCER - not striding out left hind. TAEGAN'S JET - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BANK THE CASH - Virus.
