Jockey Lembethe was examined by the Medical Officer and was declared fit to ride. Jockey Delpech did not ride at tonight's meeting (Medically indisposed). The start of this Race was delayed due to the horses leaving the parade ring late as a result of the close proximity of lightning to the racecourse. A-ROD lost one length. MAMSELLE AL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Apprentice Schwarz has now ridden his 20th winner and will, therefore claim a 2.5kg allowance from the conclusion of tonight's meeting until the conclusion of the race meeting at which he rides his 40th winner. Apprentice Mphanya, the rider of SPANISH CASTLE, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. SPANISH CASTLE raced wide in the early stages. A-ROD raced green. SPANISH CASTLE was carried out by SWISS NOTE near the 400 metre mark. Apprentice Godden, the rider of FIRES OF CALAIS, accidentally dropped his right side rein near the 400 metre mark which he regained shortly thereafter. In view of the performance of RAES' DYNA JET, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report, Trainer van Zyl was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of RAES' DYNA JET on her return to the yard. SOPHIA CHOICE raced with a tongue tie. GENIUS BAR raced in the Colours of Mrs Vanashree & Mr Anant Singh: green, yellow stripe, one red, one blue sleeve, white armbands & black cap. The Ownership of MAMSELLE AL should read: Mr C Lafraisiere; and the Colours are: white, red stars, blue sleeves, white stars, white cap. Vet: RAES' DYNA JET - nothing obvious detected. RED DUNES - cut in mouth.
