This race was delayed due to the close proximity of an electrical storm and the remaining races were re-scheduled, weather dependent. However with time constraints and sunset forecast for 18h55, there would be insufficient daylight to run race 10 and the decision was made to abandon it and run races 6, 7, 8 and 9. KEEP ON FLYING lost two lengths. GYPSY'S INN was slow into stride. The Stipendiary Board reviewed the start of this race and established that the right-hand side front gate of THE CENTENARY (NZ) in the stall gate 2 bounced back making contact with this mares shoulder shortly after the start was effected. As she finished fourth, the Stipendiary Board took no further action. SAMURAI BLADE (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KEEP ON FLYING raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: SAMURAI BLADE (AUS) - abnormal respiratory noise.
