Apprentice Schwarz has ridden his 20th winner and claims a 2.5kg apprentice allowance. Jockey Delpech did not ride at today's meeting (Medically indisposed). Jockey van Rensburg did not ride at today's meeting (Medically indisposed). The start of this Race was delayed due to there being a delay in positioning the starting stalls on the race track. ROYAL EXPLORER, UNCLE RONNIE and PURDEY were slow into stride. ARGO MAGIC lost one length. TRINI'S VAR HYT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. UNCLE RONNIE jumped out awkwardly and as a result, Apprentice Moodley's left foot slipped out of the stirrup iron, which he only regained approaching the 300-metre mark. ARGO MAGIC and PURDEY raced green. After the running of Race 1, the track condition was officially changed to soft.
